Jacob Chance has me totally in love with his Jesse and Lilah. This author is so good at creating sexual tension between two characters, especially when one of those characters is trying so hard to deny such powerful chemistry. The anticipation, or the "build up" leading to Lilah finally succumbing to Jesse's pursuits is almost as good as when these two finally become lovers. This is what I love most about Jacob Chance's writing. The main characters don't always immediately fall into bed together. Instead, there's some time spent on them really getting to know each other. Jesse. Jesse. Jesse. He certainly qualifies for Book Boyfriend status. He's charming, slightly arrogant, sexy, direct, and very, very patient. He was completely smitten with Lilah from the first moment they met, and it was interesting to see how many ways she could possibly resist this sexy beast of a wrestler. Our heroine, Lilah had legitimate reasons for why she couldn't be with Jesse. She was trying so hard to abide by the "No Fraternization Policy" her father so clearly outlined on her first day on the job. Lilah is beautiful, smart, and good at her job. But the more Lilah got to know Jesse, the harder he was for her to resist. There was more to him than just Jesse Gunn, the wrestler, but a man she could so easily fall for.
I loved everything about this story and actually read it in one sitting because I just couldn't put it down. Jesse and Lilah are one of the hottest, sexiest, most adorable couples Jacob Chance has written. You can't help but root for them; falling in love with them too! Let's not forget to mention that this cover is one of the hottest covers ever!!🔥🔥🔥🔥 The supporting characters were phenomenal as well, and I suspect that some of them will probably end up with their own books sometime in the future? If so, I definitely look forward to more from Mr. Jacob Chance.
