“He turned to face her, and he felt it, that magnetic connection…”

“But what echoed between them? It was elemental. It was the primitive lust of one body desperately needing the other…”
If you’re looking for a fun and sexy Rom-Com, that’s exactly what you're going to get from our favorite funny gal and lovable romance author, Lucy Score.

We have slacks from the 80's and couch humping, uptight socialite bullies and "missing eyebrows" revenge, a scheming half-brother, a selfish and misguided father, kidnappings and eye patches, and a family lunch gathering that expectantly, of course, gets out of hand!
In true Lucy Score fashion, TWBM is a hot and sexy romance filled with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. Speaking of loud, I dare any reader NOT to fall in love with the heroine’s crazy, but wonderful family from Brooklyn.
To say that Maid of Honor Franchesca Baranski and Best Man Aiden Kilbourn did not exactly start things off on the right foot is merely an understatement. The book opens with everyone heading off to an amazing destination wedding. What could possibly go wrong when they land on this beautiful island to enjoy good music, delicious foods, and watch an amazing couple prepare to say their “I Dos?” How about overhearing the best man compare your “moves” to that of a stripper on a pole?!

Ok. So that was bad. Really bad. But even after all that, I wouldn’t quite call Aiden the worst best man. Seriously, a woman could do worse than a billionaire whose family is known for their conniving and cutthroat business practices, can’t she? Anyway, I fell for Aiden the moment he says to Frankie, “Get in the d*** car!” Wouldn’t it have been awesome if he'd picked her up and tossed her into the jeep? Uh, uh! Not if Frankie had anything to say about it!
Frankie is a fierce, smart, and beautifully curvy chic with balls of steel. She's also loyal, almost to a fault. Don’t even think about hurting anyone she cares about because you’ll pay for it dearly with that quick-witted mouth and sharp tongue of hers. The woman is also not above knocking someone on their arse either.
“He did as he was told and watched as his Franchesca yelled a warning to the unsuspecting dead man. ‘You don’t get to touch me! In fact, you don’t get to touch any woman without her permission.’ He grabbed for her again. Frankie was shaking her head and then the tray came up. With one hand, she bashed him in the head like the tray was a cymbal."
Our Best Man, Aiden is brooding and sometimes judgmental, but underneath it all lies a generous man who has been a bit misguided about love. Much like Frankie though, he can be quite ruthless when it comes to protecting what’s his.

“'You and I, Franchesca? We’re in this together. We belong to each other. And if someone comes after you, they will live to regret it.'”
I absolutely loved the dynamic between Frankie and Aiden once they left behind all that craziness from their best friends' island wedding. The chemistry between the two of them is downright explosive. Even though Frankie was determined to freeze Aiden out, he’d already made up his mind that he wanted her melting in his arms, and heating up his bed.

“‘Leave it down.’ He pulled a pin out before she could object. ‘Don’t try to tame it.’ Their eyes met and held in the mirror. She was still mad. But marginally less mad. It must be his pheromones that he was giving off. Sexy, wealthy pheromones.”
“She didn’t want his money or his family name. She wanted him and how he made her feel. And that was more potent to him than any aphrodisiac.”
“…Frankie was just stubborn enough to deny them both what they most wanted on principle. He couldn’t have that. He was a Kilbourn, and Kilbourns did whatever it took to get what they wanted by any means necessary…”
Nobody really knows how Lucy Score's mind works. The woman is obsessed with Taco Bell and practically eats, sleeps, and breathes nothing but tacos!! LOL! (I absolutely love tacos, too!) Seriously, Lucy's talent is boundless, and she continues to give us heroines we can stand up and clap for, and heroes who make us swoon, in spite of their flaws.
